Being from the South, ya'll know how much I love my tea. My friend Alison was sweet enough to send me a pouch of this awesome Pineapple Orange Cooler Tea from a company called Steeped Tea. Now, I know that you can buy tea at any grocery store, but how long do you think those boxes of tea sit on the shelf before you come along and buy them?
Steeped Tea carries not only a huge variety of flavored teas, but also storage tins, infusers, tea pots and cups. I was actually pretty impressed with the vast assortment of tea they offer, and really look forward to trying more of them.
I was pretty happy with the tea I was sent. When I opened the package, I could tell it was going to be good just by how it looked. There were pieces of actual fruit in there! Not some shredded, powdered mess like I've seen from store-bought teas. This particular blend contains dried apple pieces, rose hips, natural dried orange pieces, hibiscus petals, and natural flavors.
Not only did this tea smell great, it tasted pretty great too. It was so light and refreshing, and would be perfect for those hot summer nights sitting out on the porch.
After poking around on the Steeped Tea website for a bit, I saw a ton of recipes for things such as raspberry match protein balls and a sherbert berry summer fizz. All of these delicious-looking recipes were made with the various teas on their site. How cool is that?
