How to Make a Flip Flop Banner

Warmer weather is here, and that means one thing: time to break out the flip flops! I'm not a big fan of wearing them, so I made this cute banner for my front door instead. It was super simple to make, and took maybe 15 minutes.

What you need:
7 flip flops (the ones I used are an adult size small)
foam letters (you can get a big bag of these at WalMart in the craft section)
ribbon
embellishments like artificial flowers, butterflies, etc
a hot glue gun

How to make it:
1. Line up the flip flops in the order you want them. This will make the gluing process go a little more smoothly.

2. Make note of where the flip flops touch each other at the top and bottom. This is where you want to put a bit of hot glue. Glue each flip flop to the one beside it.

3. Flip your banner over, and tie ribbon around the toe post of two flip flops to use as a hanger. You want to tie the ribbon on flip flops that are fairly close together, like in the very top photo. If the ends of the ribbon are too far apart, the weight of the banner will cause it to collapse in the middle.

4. Now, decorate the front of your banner with artificial flowers, or anything else you like. Glue the foam letters across the bottom of the flip flops to spell out 'Welcome'.

There you go! Now go hang this baby on your front door and welcome in the warm weather!
