Any crafter knows that sometimes an item's packaging can be a bigger selling point than the actual product. Because the weather is turning cooler, cup cozies are going to be a huge seller, so why not go the extra mile and package them around a cute cardstock coffee cup?
My cup cozies are rather simple, and made from 100% cotton yarn. Using a 6.5mm hook, I chained 22, then joined with a slip stitch in the last chain from my hook. Chain 1, then work HDCs all the way around. Join with another slip stitch, chain 1, and repeat. I made my cup cozies 6 rows high, although you can make yours any size you like. Sew on a cute button or any other embellishment you like, and you have a great gift idea that is not only fast to make, but inexpensive as well.
If you would like to make your own cup cozy, I have linked to a video I found on YouTube below.
Now that you know how to make a cup cozy of your own, let's get to the good stuff. The FREE download!! Simply download this PDF file, then print it out onto cardstock. You can change the color of the cardstock to match your cozy, or use plain white or brown. If the printed template is a little smaller or larger than you need, simply adjust the settings in your PDF reader to alter the printed size.
If your cozy slides off the display, you can use a bobby pin, paper clip, or a strip of tape on the back to hold it on.
Thank you so much for visiting my site and downloading my template. Happy hooking, y'all!
